Check-in & Check-out
Our rooms are guaranteed to be ready for check-in from 3:00 PM on the day of arrival. We kindly ask that you vacate your room by 12:00 PM on the day of departure.
Guest Card
The idea of our City & Lake Resort is easily explained: When you stay at one of our hotels, you also benefit from the service in all our hotels, restaurants and bars.
What does this mean for you as our guest? If you have a table reservation at one of our venues, you can travel free of charge with our private boat or exclusive limousine shuttle to the respective location. In other words, we’ll chauffeur you comfortably between Alex Lake Zürich, Restaurant Buech, Storchen Zürich, and Widder Hotel.
In addition, as a guest at our hotels, you get first choice for bookings and have fast-lane access to our popular rooftop bar THE NEST at the Storchen Zürich.
Pickup service & limousine shuttle
Travel through Zurich in comfort and style: The Widder Hotel offers a first-class pick-up service for both private and business occasions. This service is available for arrivals from the airport starting at CHF 150, and for departures at CHF 120.
As a hotel guest, you can also take advantage of our limousine shuttle, which provides a comfortable transfer from Zurich’s Old Town to Thalwil and Herrliberg. You can find the schedule here.
Hotel Garage
The hotel garage costs CHF 45 per car per night.
Business Corner
All our rooms and suites are fitted with a desk. You also benefit from high-speed WiFi. A small business corner with a printer near reception makes it easy to work outside your room, too.
Fitness
You can continue your daily workout routine right here in the hotel. Treadmills and exercise bikes are available for you. Our state-of-the-art fitness area is accessible to our guests at any time, day or night. We also highly recommend an outdoor excursion: the most beautiful jogging route in the city, along Lake Zurich, is just a few steps from our front door.
Spa

Library
On the ground floor of the Steinhaus, you will find our in-house library, "Turicensia". As the name suggests, almost everything revolves around our city, its inhabitants and its surroundings in hundreds of illustrated books, history and art guides. For literature lovers, we also stock selected fiction. You will also find a selection of lifestyle magazines.
Sustainability
Just off the world-renowned Bahnhofstrasse in the heart of Zurich’s historic Old Town, the Widder Hotel is a one of the most special and unique boutique hotels in Zurich and perhaps in all of Switzerland that dates back to the 12th century. The topic of sustainability is therefore of great importance to us.
For us at the Widder Hotel, it is all about taking into account and harmonizing the needs and concerns of people, the environment and the economy in equal measure.
Sustainability is a process - a long road that we will certainly take. Compliance with legal requirements is not enough for us; we want to set an example and exceed it. We summarize our efforts in our sustainability mission statement.
