Boucherie, Brasserie, Bistro – AuGust combines all this in one premises: The restaurant treats its guests with delicious meat and sausage specialties. Black and white marble tiles, Bistro lamps, a very long counter and the open show kitchen make each visit an extraordinary experience. Besides classics such as Zürcher Geschnetzeltes traditional, almost forgotten dishes such as Boiled Beef Salad are freshly prepared in an irresistible style. As of July 2020, the tranquil oasis offers light summer lunches, chats over afternoon coffee, champagne aperitifs and romantic candlelight dinners under a starry sky.

The Widder Restaurant is our new centerpiece. German-born Stefan Heilemann knew he wanted to be a chef since he was a toddler. His cooking style can be described as "French-based, uncomplicated, product-focused and Asian-inspired." Stefan Heilemann and his sommelier Stefano Petta and crew are looking forward to spoiling your pallets. Set menus from three to seven courses, vegetarian possible, vegan on request and on prior notice.

Would you like to dine at a real local restaurant during your stay? Then you need to see the Wirtschaft zur Schtund (entrance via Augustinergasse 28). Here you can feast on more simple Swiss and Zurich specialties as well as original Alsace flammkuchen (traditional savory flan). In addition, you can enjoy the old town atmosphere on the terrace during the summer months.

During the jubilee year 2020 (25 years Widder Hotel), the Schtund hosts a new pop-up restaurant every month.
