It is the gem of the Swiss luxury hotel industry, just waiting for you to discover it. Seven hundred years of history are steeped within its walls. Today’s hotel is comprised of nine formerly distinct medieval houses. All the buildings have been carefully restored to ensure they retain their original character. Inside the luxury Widder hotel you will find a striking contrast between historic building features and some of the most prominent modern designs of the 20th century.
All of our 49 guest rooms and suites contain traces of a history stretching back over 700 years. Painted ceiling beams, ornate stone intarsia and antique furniture alongside modern design classics from the likes of Le Corbusier and Mies van der Rohe. And there’s even more art waiting for you right outside your door – our private collection is displayed throughout the house and features original works from Andy Warhol, Robert Rauschenberg and Alberto Giacometti.
