Cantina alla Maggia, our new wine brand, is a testament to our establishment's commitment to innovation and improvement. Since 1930, we've been synonymous with quality products from Ticino. Our Widder Restaurant is the hotel restaurant of the year 2024 by Falstaff
On October 17, on the occasion of the launch of the new edition of the Restaurant and Beizenguide 2024, the Widder Restaurant was awarded Hotel Restaurant of the Year. We congratulate the team of Stefan Heilemann and Stefano Petta! Falstaff pays tribute to the team: "Sustainability and regionality are paramount here. Sommelier of the Year 2024
On Monday, September 25, the renowned restaurant guide GaultMillau named Stefano Petta, sommelier and host of the Widder Restaurant Zurich, "Sommelier of the Year 2024" at its annual awards ceremony. With this award, the 36-year-old native Italian establishes himself in the wine Olympus of the Swiss gastronomy and wine industry. We are very proud of Stefano Petta's performance as host and sommelier - congratulations!

The Living Circle becomes "plastic neutral"
Thanks to a collaboration with CleanHub, The Living Circle is "plastic neutral." The hotels have systematically reduced single-use plastic. Where it is not substitutable, the single-use plastic is compensated through the cooperation with CleanHub.

Marco Zanolari will become CEO of The Living Circle Group AG
The Board of Directors of The Living Circle appoints Marco Zanolari as the new CEO. He will take over the role of Group Executive Management from Jürg Schmid, who has been performing the function on an interim basis, as of 1 August 2023. Zanolari was previously CEO of the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz AG.

Ascona Riserva takes 3rd place in Falstaff's Merlot Trophy 2022
Falstaff once again went in search of the best Merlot in Switzerland. In third place, with 94 points, is the Ascona Merlot Riserva 2018 from Terreni alla Maggia. A spicy and flattering Merlot that matures for around 24 months in small French oak barrels. An acknowledgement of the great skill and flair that our Ascona winery demonstrates year after year when it comes to the Merlot grape.
